about us

Growing up in Southern Texas, Nancy initially developed her love of decorating from a high-school Home Economics class. Using her own bedroom as her project, she transformed drab into beautiful and transformed herself into someone who was hopelessly hooked on beautifying living spaces. This was just the beginning of a creative passion that's still growing today.

In 1984, Nancy's creative repertoire was enhanced and expanded when she moved to England. Traveling all over Europe and the Middle East, she was exposed to beautiful Old World architecture and design. From elegant Italian, French and English design to provincial Spanish, rural Bavarian, Dutch and Austrian, Nancy has been influenced by an extreme range of cultures and tastes.

From fabricing walls in the early 80's to creating stylish and exciting window treatments with as little as fabric remnants, rubber bands and staples, her creativity is unmatched. Years of association with, and a lifetime member of the Hobby Industry of America (HIA) have left her with many creative touches outside the realm of standard decorating. Nancy expanded into Interior Faux Finishing after having been formally trained in oils in Retford England, apprenticed under students formally trained by Annie Sloan of London England, Plaid Enterprises in Atlanta Georgia, and right here in Omaha. That, coupled with formal Interior Decorating study, gives her an outlook on interiors that's well beyond the norm.

Nancy's recent accomplishments include three national-level awards for her faux & decorative work, display rooms in the Omaha Symphony Designer Showhouse, Remodel Omaha Tour, and a showcase room for Deeb Realty. Nancy's work has also been chosen to beautify three local churches.

Nancy's been busy since she decided to call the Omaha area home in 2000. After 16 years in Europe, her talents have been discovered right here in the Heartland. Give her a call, and find out what it truly means to go "Beyond the Finish".

Tony Marino
Tony Marino graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a bachelors degree in Studio Art. Specialties included lithography, drawing, painting, and electronic imagery. Shortly after, he took a job as a production artist at a local private weather forecasting company and the rest is history. He would temporarily stray off the artistic career path as a result of his success outside of creative arts.

After dedicating 10 years to corporate America, he has come full circle, taking his professional business experience and merging with his passion for visual imagery with the spawning of Mural Expressions™. The operation focuses on accenting themed rooms/environments with custom wall murals for both homeowners and businesses.

Kim Haizlip
The thought of design puts a smile on my face. I have been designing interiors for over 10 years. I love to take a person's personality and put that in the space that they work and live in. I also enjoying taking what you already have using it in new and different ways. I would love the opportunity to make the space that you work and live in reflect you. Let me help you Reuse, Refresh and Rediscover your surroundings.
